Bukit Cahaya.....again!

Went for a cycling trip at Bkt Cahaya today.

Arrived at approx 9 am..........

One could have been forgiven for thinking he/she had just arrived at the local Pasar Malam....




Si Beh alot of ppl man!!!

Couldnt help but noticed the majority amongst the crowd were made up by school/ college going chinapeks......

MAN I MA FEELIN' OOOOOOOOLLLLDDDD........



Anyway we headed to the bicycle shed to rent our bikes. The crappy ones go for Rm 3/ hr, while the Chim-mer ones with single rear suspension and aluminium spaceframes are yours for RM 5/hr.

With the humongous crowd influx there was an acute shortage of bikes. The Rm5-ers have all been snatched up and the RM 3 ones were going like hotcakes. The ones that were left....

My, the ones left. These are not your run-of-the-mill garden variety vanilla flavoured crappy bikes, oh no. Hell, Crappy is itself an OVERstatement.

How long have these bikes been in service????

The paintwork was peeling off faster than Paris Hilton's undies.

The weld joints emit a curious squeek whenever the bike is manouvered left/ right.

The handles are smoooooth. Like, tofu smooth. Not a single dimple/ marking for traction. Like, pornstar cock smooth (after 10,000 handjobs). Like, you know, like, whatever.

The seats.....what seats??? You call that a seat???

I swear some of these bikes have seen action during WWII. Heck, I'm sure as hell one of them damn Jappons rode one of them down into Malaysia from Thailand on 1942....



The gear doesn't work.......

Very, very slippery........oooph*.



Very oily, very noisy, goes rat-a-tat-tat allllllll the way......

Didn't get a good shot of the breaks (probably bcoz there weren't any? T_T)

SO what to do If the situation calls for an emergency stop?

step 1: close eyes
step 2: pray
step 3: JUMP OFF
step 4: yell GERONIMMOOOO~~~~~~~
step 5: wet pants (optional)



But, we had good fun.....as we always do....
